PHOENIX – With the 2024 NCAA Men’s Final Four® fast approaching, NCAA officials and the 2024 Men’s Final Four Host Committee teamed up with local leaders Wednesday to announce key details about the long-anticipated event.

“The Valley’s second Men’s Final Four will tip off in 80 days,” said Jay Parry, CEO of the 2024 Men’s Final Four Host Committee, which is collaborating with the NCAA to host the Men’s Final Four. “You can feel the excitement growing across the state. We will provide an unforgettable experience for the visiting student-athletes, alumni, fans, media and NCAA Corporate Champions and Partners, as well as Arizona residents.”

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs and Phoenix City Councilwoman Kesha Hodge Washington joined NCAA and Phoenix Local Organizing Committee officials at an outdoor news conference at historic Eastlake Park Community Center in central Phoenix, where basketball courts will be refurbished and other amenities added in the NCAA Men’s Final Four Legacy Project presented by Degree Deodorant®, one of numerous community projects that will be undertaken as the Valley prepares to host the 2024 Men’s Final Four.  

“I’m excited to welcome the NCAA to the valley as we count down to the 2024 Men’s Final Four at State Farm Stadium in Glendale,” said Governor Katie Hobbs. “Arizona has proven time and time again that we are the top destination for the nation’s biggest sporting events, and I’m looking forward to once again showcasing all that we have to offer.”

Officials outlined plans for the following ancillary events, which are offered at free to low cost to the public.

MEN’S FINAL FOUR FAN FEST® PRESENTED BY CAPITAL ONE 

A visit to the Men’s Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One is the perfect way to tip-off the weekend. Offering something for fans of all ages, Men’s Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One will be held at Phoenix Convention Center in downtown Phoenix from April 5 – 8, 2024. The Phoenix Convention Center is a short walk from many Men’s Final Four hotels and accessible by Valley Metro Light Rail stations.

Men’s Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One is a fun-filled event. Upon stepping through the doors, visitors will enter a sports wonderland of interactive games from all NCAA championships, special celebrity and athlete appearances, autograph signings and much more. Fans can even have their photos snapped with the NCAA Division I men’s basketball championship trophy and pick up official Men’s Final Four merchandise and samples from NCAA partners. 

“The fan events at the Men’s Final Four continue to grow as fun and exciting activities for everyone, regardless of whether they have a ticket to the basketball games,” said Dan Gavitt, NCAA Senior Vice President of Basketball. “NCAA Corporate Champions and Partners do an amazing job lending their support to all fan activities, many of which are free or family-cost friendly. We work each year with TNT Sports Live Events to bring Men’s Final Four experiences that will make lifetime memories for kids and adults alike, and we hope residents of the Valley of the Sun will join the fun.”

NCAA MARCH MADNESS MUSIC FESTIVAL®

The NCAA March Madness Music Festival — three days of free concerts by popular national and local recording artists — will be staged at Margaret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix from April 5 – 7, 2024. Hance Park is accessible by Valley Metro Light Rail.

Past artists performing have included Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Megan Thee Stallion, Maroon 5, Katy Perry, The Chainsmokers, Bruce Springsteen, Panic at the Disco!, Flo Rida and many others.  

The concert series opens on Friday afternoon with the AT&T Block Party, and will rock into the evening. The festival will roll on for Saturday’s Coke Studio Live, and wrap up on Sunday with the Capital One JamFest.

“The March Madness Music Festival will be an incredible party under the dazzling desert sun and stars,” Parry said. 

REESE’S MEN’S FINAL FOUR FRIDAY® 

Reese’s Men’s Final Four Friday will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at the stadium in Glendale. Filled with interactive activities and entertainment for fans of all ages, this free public event includes Men’s Final Four team practices as well as the Reese’s NABC All-Star Game, featuring top senior student-athletes from around the country playing on the Men’s Final Four court.  

It’s a unique opportunity to see the teams and players up close and experience the venue that will host the Semifinal and Championship games. 

MEN’S FINAL FOUR DRIBBLE® PRESENTED BY BUICK 

At the Men’s Final Four Dribble presented by Buick, thousands of youth ages 18 and under dribble a .7-mile course with their very own, one-of-a-kind NCAA Men’s Final Four Dribble Wilson basketball, and outfitted in a branded t-shirt. The event is free. The course will lead children and their guardians directly from Phoenix’s Heritage Square to the Men’s Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One, which Dribble participants can enter for free. Click here for registration information.

NCAA Men’s Final Four Legacy Project presented by Degree Deodorant®

Officials also outlined plans for the NCAA Men’s Final Four Legacy Project presented by Degree Deodorant®. The 2024 Men’s Final Four Host Committee, the NCAA and Degree Deodorant® are teaming up on the project at the park and community center at 1549 E. Jefferson Street in Phoenix. Work on the project will be completed before the 2024 Men’s Final Four. 

The project will include a complete refinish of the indoor basketball court; adjustable hoops and backboards; new scoreboard with shot clock; new benches, bleachers, wall pads, weight room equipment and rubber floor in the weight room. An outdoor basketball court will also be refurbished and outfitted with new backboards and hoops. A mural is also planned to enhance the site. Read more.
